Exterior brick/stone refuses to be ignored. If you have it on your house, let it be part of your overall color scheme. If the siding and trim colors relate to the brick/stone, your house will look purposeful and together. If there is no relationship between the two surfaces, your brick/stone will stand out in an unfortunate way.
