Check out this modern beauty, which is still under construction. It has a complex exterior of many materials: metal, cedar, limestone, and “stucco” (cement board panels).
The architect had specified rust colored metal siding and pink tinged limestone before I became involved. My job was to find a “stucco” color and cedar stain color. Pink tint in exterior paint quickly gets out of control, so we choose light taupe.
We looked at burgundy wood stain for the cedar, but it was too heavy and too formal. Therefore we picked an amber color; it picks up flecks of amber in the metal siding.
Give me a call at 360 319-4221 if you want some help with exterior color design. I’d be happy to talk.
