Case Study, Leaving Brick Unpainted

The new owners of this rambler wanted to come from 1970 into the present.  Painting the brick was discussed.  However, it offered the only exterior architectural detail and continued into the foyer, not slated for paint.  In this case, the best solution was to keep the brick, and paint the siding a lightened color pulled from the brick.  The owners added window trim, which helped this house greatly.
