Case Study-The Sunny Personality

It’s good design if the color on a home reflects the personalities within.  The woman who bought this house inherited the previous owner’s color choices.   Intuitively she placed squares of turquoise on the facade to “try and make it brighter” until she could paint. This client is from a warm climate where bright colors are common.  Her personality is overtly friendly.  She needed a sunny house.

Because this home has a reddish chimney and reddish composite deck, I suggested a red door.  Luckily, this client knew her mind, trusted her own sensibilities, and wanted a turquoise door, which looks great, by the way.  It’s not an academic or historical choice; it’s an authentic one.   Your home is a reflection of you; it’s always beautiful to keep it real.
